AbstractThe stable lotus-leaf-like superhydrophobic copper was fabricated by means of a very simple and industrially up scalable method. Under both the growth of CuO microcrystals on the surface and the chemical modification, the wettability of the copper substrate changed from hydrophilic to water-repellent superhydrophobic, with surface hierarchical structures similar to that of lotus leaf.
