AbstractTo mimic the lotus leaf structure, binarymicrostructures at bothmicro- and nano-scalewere constructed on the stainless steel surface by the eletroless plating. Super-hydrophobicity was achieved with a water contact angle of 1508 and the sliding angle of 48 bymodifying the textured surface bymeans of HFTHTMS ((heptadecafluoro-1,1,2,2-tetrahydrodecyl) trimethoxysilane).
