Abstract

A novel pH-responsive liquid marble covered by thiol-modified copper powders has been demonstrated via a facile one-step self-assemble method. The wettability of the modified copper powders can change with the outside environment pH. This multifunctional liquid marble can be applied to act as a micro-gas responder and microfluidic controllable-release system with high sensitivity.
