Abstract

Through controlling the pH of the precursor, we have achieved creatively controllable growth of tungsten oxide on stainless steel meshes with different morphologies via a simple hydrothermal method. Consequently, under the synergistic action of micro/nanostructures and the intrinsic hydrophilic property, the underwater superoleophobicity of tungsten oxide films can also be regulated successfully, which is helpful in the design of functional nanomaterials with various morphologies.
