Abstract

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composites filled with several carbon materials including carbon fiber (CF), graphite (Gr), graphite fluoride (CFx), multi-walled carbon nanotube (MCNTs) and graphene oxide (GO) were prepared. Fretting wear behaviors of the composites were evaluated using a ball-on-plate test machine. Their thermal and mechanical properties were also studied. Results showed that the wear resistance of these composites increased orderly: UHMWPE
